FUNCTIONAL DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT

Whether you want to create a custom solution or implement a packaged software, you need to create design documents.  Whether you need general design documents, or detailed designs, DSCG analysts will work with you to create mock ups and functional workflows and create general and detailed design documents which can be used to create custom applications or customize COTS products.

QUALITY ASSURANCE (IV&V)

Across all aspects of a project, whether in the requirements definition phase, design phase, build phase, testing phase, rollout phase or post-production phase, quality assurance is key to a stable and working product.  DSCG provides Independent Validation & Verification (IV&V) services to review project deliverables and actual products before they are released for use by the general users.  Tracking of the issues found, having those issues fixed, retested, and then released is important for a sustainably working product.

SYSTEM IMPLEMENTATION AND ROLLOUT MANAGEMENT

Regardless of whether you are doing a custom development project or a COTS implementation, rollout management is key.  Rollout management comes into play at the end stages of the project, but that is when the stress levels are high – the vendor wants to complete the implementation and get paid, the users are having anxiety issues about the new product, training is on-going, management is worried about the impact of going live or having to rollback.  Managing these emotions, and the change itself, are key to the overall success of the project and its acceptance by all impacted.  DSCG's team has worked in managing rollouts and can bring the expertise to help you in your project rollout.

SMALL SCALE CUSTOM APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT

Sometimes the easiest solution to a problem is the best one.  If all you need is a simple Excel or Access database with some user interface screens to help you meet your needs,   DSCG can do that for you.  We will come in, understand your needs, and help develop an application using MS Office tools and VBA.

BUSINESS RECOVERY PLANNING (BUSINESS CONTINUITY AND DISASTER RECOVERY)

Your business provides critical services for your clients.  Are you prepared to continue business operations if disaster strikes?  What if your primary location become unavailable?  What if your servers crash?  DSCG staff can come in and review your business model, develop a business impact analysis, and develop a plan for you to address concerns about business continuity and disaster recovery.

ORGANIZATIONAL POLICIES AND PROCEDURES CREATION

Governing bodies such as Boards and Committees like the idea that the business they are overseeing have procedures and policies that are documented and are aligned with industry standards.  DSCG staff can review your existing policies and validate them against industry standards and practices.  If you don't have such policies, DSCG staff can create them for you so you have benchmarks and guiding principles for your processes.
